A complaint has been submitted to the Maldives Police Service requesting an investigation into the authenticity of claims made in the “Aisha” documentary published by the online outlet Adhadhu.
According to the letter, which was addressed to Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed, the documentary released on March 28, 2026, contains serious allegations against President Mohamed Muizzu.
The letter states that the matter is of significant national importance as it involves the country’s highest office. It calls for a formal investigation to establish the truth of the claims and to make the findings public.
The documentary has already sparked widespread public debate. While some government officials have dismissed its contents as false, it remains unclear whether any official investigation has been initiated so far.
