STELCO Showcases Technical Excellence with Early Completion of Hulhumalé Power Plant Maintenance

State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has announced the successful completion of major maintenance works at the Hulhumalé power plant, finishing earlier than scheduled and bringing all engines back online.

With the maintenance now complete, electricity services across Malé and Hulhumalé have been fully restored. The company confirmed that temporary load shedding measures, which had briefly affected some areas in the morning, have been lifted, ensuring uninterrupted power supply throughout the capital region.

STELCO extended its gratitude to customers for their patience and cooperation during the maintenance period, while also apologizing for any inconvenience caused. The company emphasized that the proactive works were essential to strengthening system reliability and safeguarding future electricity services.
