Death Toll Surpasses 100 in Catastrophic Texas Flooding

Search and rescue teams continue to navigate through mud-choked riverbanks as renewed rain and thunderstorms loom over the region. However, four days after the disaster, hopes of finding more survivors are rapidly diminishing.
Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp for girls, has confirmed that at least 27 campers and staff members are among the deceased. Ten girls and one camp counsellor remain unaccounted for.
Meanwhile, the White House has dismissed claims that recent budget cuts to the National Weather Service (NWS) may have hampered the emergency response.
