Liverpool & Portugal Star Diogo Jota Killed in Car Crash in Spain
Liverpool forward Diogo Jota, aged 28, tragically died in a car accident in northwestern Spain early Thursday, alongside his elder brother, Andre Silva, 26, according to the Guardia Civil and local fire authorities.
The accident occurred just after midnight on the A-52 motorway near Cernadilla in Zamora province after a tyre reportedly burst while overtaking, causing the vehicle to leave the road and ignite.
The loss is particularly poignant as Jota had married his long-term partner just two weeks ago and leaves behind three young children.
