Bayern Defeat Flamengo 4–2 to Set Up Club World Cup Clash with PSG

Bayern Munich advanced to the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-finals with a 4–2 win over Brazil’s Flamengo, setting up a high-profile encounter against Paris Saint-Germain.
An early own goal from Flamengo’s Erick Pulgar and a strike from Harry Kane gave Bayern a 2–0 lead. Flamengo fought back through Gerson and a Jorginho penalty to level the score, but Leon Goretzka and another Kane goal sealed the win for the German champions.
Bayern will now face PSG in the quarter-finals on July 5 in Atlanta.
“It was a tough fight, but we were clinical,” said Kane after the match. Flamengo’s coach Filipe Luis acknowledged, “European teams are simply a level above at the moment.”
