Trump Warns Elon Musk Could Face Deportation

US President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning that he will consider deporting businessman Elon Musk from the United States and crack down on government subsidies he receives.
"I don't know. We'll have to think about it," Trump told a reporter at the White House. He also indicated that he would use his newly created government agency, the Department of Government Efficiency (Dodge), to target Musk's businesses.
Going on about it, "We might have to put 'Dodge' behind Elon. Dodge is probably a 'monster' that's going to eat Elon," Trump said. The warnings come as Musk continues to criticize the Trump administration's proposed "One Big Beautiful Bill" for removing subsidies for electric vehicles (EVs).
"He's losing his EV mandate. He's very unhappy, but I can say he's going to lose a lot more," Trump said. Trump also told Truth Social that without government subsidies, Elon would have had to give up his business and return to his home country, South Africa.
Musk was one of Trump's biggest financial donors in the 2024 election, and the two men's relationship grew stronger after the election. Musk has called for the formation of a new political party called the American Party if the bill passes.
