Two Months Without Fiscal Updates From Finance Ministry
The Ministry of Finance and Planning has not published its weekly or monthly fiscal development reports since December 2025, raising concerns over transparency as the new fiscal year progresses.
Records on the ministry’s official website show that the most recent Weekly Fiscal Development report covers the period ending 31 December 2025. Meanwhile, the latest available Monthly Fiscal Development report is for November 2025, with no December or 2026 updates released to date.
The reports are widely used by economists, financial institutions and policymakers to track government revenue, expenditure, borrowing and deficit trends. Their absence comes at a time when public attention remains focused on rising debt levels and external financing pressures.
While publication delays can occur for administrative reasons, the continued gap into March 2026 has prompted questions about fiscal disclosure standards.
