Maldivian President Dr Mohamed Muizzu will make his first State Visit to Singapore from 30 June to 2 July 2025, at the invitation of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. The trip commemorates 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

During the visit, President Muizzu will be welcomed with a formal ceremony and meet with President Tharman, who will host a State Banquet alongside Mrs Jane Ittogi Shanmugaratnam. A commemorative stamp will be launched at the event.

He will also hold talks with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and witness the signing of key MOUs focusing on sustainability, vocational education, and capacity development. The President is set to attend an investment forum and tour key sites such as Tuas Port, ITE Central, and the URA Gallery to explore Singapore’s urban and educational strategies.

President Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed will be honoured with a newly named orchid at the National Orchid Garden. The President is joined by the First Lady and a delegation of nine Cabinet Ministers and senior officials.
